HTC has launched its Desire 10 Pro smartphone in India, and priced it at INR 26,490. The phone will be available from December 15. The company also utilized the occasion to announce the launch of the sub-flagship HTC 10 Evo in India by the end of 2016. HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle, a more basic version of the phone was launched in India in September and priced at INR 15,990.
The HTC Desire 10 Pro gets a unique styling with golden pin striping as highlight on the backpanel. The HTC logo on the back panel is also inscribed in a golden hue. The phone gets a matte finish body with a variety of colours that HTC likes calling Valentine Lux, Stone Black, Royal Blue, and Polar White.
The HTC 10 Pro gets BoomSound stereo speakers along with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and dual-SIM (Nano) capability. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the HTC’s Sense UI on top.
For India, the HTC Desire 10 Pro comes with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, although a 3GB / 32GB version is also available internationally. The storage can be expanded via a microSD card up to 2TB.
The Desire 10 Pro gets a 5.5-inch full-HD, 1080×1920 pixel, IPS LCD display. Pixel density stands at a healthy 400ppi. The screen is protected by an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass. Battery power is derived from a 3000 mAh unit claimed to deliver up to 19 hours of talk time. The dimensions of the phone stand at 156.5 x 76 x 7.86 mm with a weight of 165 grams.
Powering the phone is a 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor. The backshooter on the phone is a 20-megapixel f/2.2 unit with laser autofocus and BSI sensor. Front camera is a 13-megapixel unit with an f/2.2 aperture and BSI sensor.
In terms of connectivity the phone gets Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, and 4G LTE.
