In June ISRO Will Launch 22 Satellites in a Single Mission

Today, ISRO said it will create record by launching  22 satellites in a single mission next month. Also the ISRO Chairman, Kiran Kumar said that after the current reusable launch vehicle, the next experiment what we have to do is what we have to worry about. Other than that, next month we have a launch where we will be launching about 22 satellites. Also one of a cartographic series satellite will be launched. While speaking on the sidelines of an event, which was organized by the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry commonly known as FKCCI, he said that out of the 22 satellites, three are Indian and the remaining are all commercial. Some time ago, K. Sivan the Director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, had said that they would be using the ISRO’s workhorse Polar rocket PSLV C34 for the launch, as this will enable them to have satellites from US, Canada, Indonesia and Germany as co-passengers.In 2008, the space agency had sent in a single mission, ten satellites. Kiran Kumar, the ISRO Chairman said to test the that immediately after that launch, we have a scatter meter that is going to get launched, then INSAT 3DR we call — it is to provide vertical temperature and humidity profile from geostationary satellite.

ISRO has taken a step towards development by making use of reusable rocket. The advantage of reusing rockets is that it will drastically cut down expenses of cost of access to space. To test the development of the Reusable Launch Vehicle technology, a series of flights were experimented. The first in the series of experimental flights was HEX that is hypersonic flight experiment, then the second in the series was LEX that is the landing experiment, then the third was the return flight experiment that is REX and the last in the series was SPEX that is the scramjet propulsion experiment.
