Incoming: IP68 certified 2017 Samsung Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 to be launched on January 5

If various reports floating about are to be believed, three refreshed Samsung phones could show themselves to the world on January 5. Expected to be launched at an event in Kuala Lumpur, the 2017 Samsung Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 will be launched with fingerprint scanners, NFC and IP68 rating, making them dust proof and water resistant till a depth of 1.5 meters, for 30 minutes.

Rumors and some brochure leaks suggest that the Galaxy A7 (2017) will come with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED full HD display (1080 x 1920 pixels) and will be powered by an octa-core Exynos 7880 processor. Backed with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage (expandable via a microSD card), the rear camera in the Galaxy A7 is said to be a 16MP lens with an f/1.9 aperture.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) is expected to feature a smaller 5.2-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display (1080×1920 pixel). It could run an octa-core Exynos 7880 processor, backed with 2GB RAM, and 32GB expandable storage. The Galaxy A5 could sport a 16MP lens at the front as well as at the back.

The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) will  have the smallest screen size of the three smartphones and is rumored to sport a 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED display (720×1280 pixel). It will be powered by an octa-core 1.5 GHz Exynos 7870 processor and could come with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory.
