James Bond Spectre’s first full length trailer drops, sets expectations soaring

We have all seen some cryptic flashes from SPECTRE, the next instalment in the James Bond franchise, but it’s only now that the first full length trailer of the movie has landed. And by the looks it, Sam Mendes seems to be in top form. The man is back with a vengeance, eager to get even with all the critics who likened the booby traps set by Bond in Skyfall to the traps laid by the child protagonist in the Home Alone series. The newest trailer has style, action, cool gadgets, car chases and some ageless beauties thrown in good measure.

What I am looking forward to, however, more than anything else, is Christoph Waltz’s portrayal of Franz Oberhauser, the main antagonist of the movie, and a self proclaimed author of “all of Bond’s pain”. I have always been a big fan of Christoph Waltz; he’s a man at the very top of the Hollywood’s acting skills food chain.

Christoph Waltz Spectre

As Bond ventures towards the heart of SPECTRE, he learns of a chilling connection between himself and the enemy he seeks, played by Christoph Waltz – that’s all the information the filmmakers are giving away at the moment.

Spectre will see Bond set out on a rogue mission to Mexico City and eventually Rome. 007 will meet the ageless, ever-sensuous Monica Bellucci, portraying Lucia Sciarra, the beautiful, untouchable widow of a sinister criminal. It’s in Rome where Bond is slated to uncover the existence of the sinister organisation known as SPECTRE (the Special Executive for Counter-Intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion).

Spectre Monica Bellucci

As is the case with most Bond movies, Spectre also witnesses the legislators and other authorities doubt Bond and question the very existence of MI6. Through all this mess, and with some help from M (Ralph Fiennes), Q (Ben Whishaw) and Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) Bond manages to seek out Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux), the daughter of his old nemesis Mr White (Jesper Christensen), who may eventually lead Bond to accomplish his mission.

Spectre Land Rover

The trailer features plenty of action, comprising an absolutely spectacular Aston DB10 and an equally appealing Jaguar C-X75. Choppers fly with their blades upside down, a Land Rover Defender gets hurled like a toy and that sexy DB10 engages itself into plenty of spectacular car chases as Bond finds his way into the meat of the SPECTRE.

Check out the enticing new trailer, it’s sure to make you start your countdown to the movie’s release.
