Karbonn launches Quattro L50 HD with 5-Inch Display at INR 7,990

Karbonn is launching a new smart phone in India, the Quattro L50 HD. The phone is priced at INR 7,990 which is approximately equivalent to US $ 118.  The new handset marks the debut of a company’s new series in the market i.e. ‘Quattro’ series. The phone will be available for sale via e-commerce sites and in retail stores.

Karbonn Quattro L50 HD is a dual SIM phone that runs on Kandy UI v1.0 which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. The phone has a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The phone is powered by a quad-core SoC that is clocked at 1.3GHz. The exact processor is not specified by the company. The phone has a 2GB RAM with an internal memory of 16GB which can be expanded up to 32GB through microSD card. The phone sports a13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel fixed focus front-facing camera that enables clicking selfie shots. The phone also features Blue Glass filter, phase detection auto-focus (PDAF), and LED flash.

The phone packs a 2600mAh Li-Po battery that delivers 200 hours of standby time, about 8 hours of 2G/ 3G talk time and around 4 hours of 4G talk time. The phone also features 4G LTE networks, GPS, Wi-Fi (dual band), Bluetooth and Micro-USB. The device has a dimension of 141x71x8.8mm and a weight of around 134 grams. The phone is available in three colour variants i.e. Blue, Coffee and Grey on Amazon India.

Karbonn had also launched its K9 which was a smart entry-level smartphone. The pricing of K9 was decided to be at INR 3,990. The phone is a dual SIM phone which supports 21 Indian languages. 12 languages are supported at system level. Phone contacts can be accessed in 11 Indian languages but gives choice to choose between 21 Indian languages for typing input.
