Leak: Apple iPhone 8 codenamed ‘Ferrari’ could be launched along with 7s and 7s Plus

It will be 10 years next year since the first iPhone fell from Apple’s tree. Like everyone else, we too expect the company to launch a groundbreaking phone that redefines the idea of an Apple device, rather than something which seems just a carryover.

Now, new rumors suggest that Apple will launch not two, but three phones next year, one of them internally code named ‘Ferrari’. This information comes from manufacturing documents, which have been somehow leaked from Apple’s Chinese supply chain. If the document is to be believed, the new device could boast of wireless charging, a curved OLED display with an edge-to-edge design and an invisible home button. The new device could also feature a split logic board, where one part will house the A11 chip and flash storage, while the other will play host to other bits like WiFi and communication chips.

The new device could also boast of dual lens 3D camera which could generate real-time views of surroundings, backed by augmented reality. Also, the back panel could be a curved glass, in sync with the curved display panel. The leak suggests at three new models, labelled as D20, D21 and D22, where the first two will be ‘Plus’ models of the iPhone 7, whereas the D22 will be an all new, completely redesigned high-end phone.
