Lenovo is prepping up for the global reveal of their latest player from the Zuk line-up tomorrow (7 December 2016). Dubbed as the Lenovo Zuk Edge, the smartphone will pack all premium hardware and is expected to be rolled out with an affordable pricetag. Almost Bezel-less construction, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 MSM8996 processor, 4GB RAM, the latest Android v.7.0 Nougat, and much more is anticipated to be making up the Zuk Edge. While the brand is getting ready for the smartphone event, its Indian arm is gearing up to launch another device in the Indian market on 9 December 2016.
Launching in the Indian market on 9th of this month is the Lenovo Phab2 Phablet. The Plus version of the device was brought to the market last month at a price of INR 14,999 and is exclusively sold through Amazon.in. For the Phab2, the smartphone brand has tied up with another online shopping portal, Flipkart and the suggested price for the new Phablet is INR 11,999.
The Lenovo Phab2 gets a 6.4inch HD (1280 x 720) wide-view IPS display with a pixel density of 229ppi.The screen is fitted on aluminum alloy unibody. On the rear is a 13 MP camera with PDAF fast-focus and f/2.0 aperture while on the front is a 5 MP unit with an 85-degree Wide angle lens. Powering the Phab2 is a Mediatek MT873 Quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz. The CPU is assisted by Mali-T720MP2 GPU. The phablet uses 3 GB RAM and offers 32 GB ROM that is expandable upto 128 GB via microSD card.
On the software front, the Lenovo Phab2 comes with Android v6.0 Marshmallow and is pre-installed with McAfee Security, SwiftKey, and Netflix. Other features include – Triple array mics with active noise-cancellation, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Audio Capture 5.1, 3.5 audio jack. The pHab2 is equipped with a 4,050 mAh battery. The phone will be available in two colour options – Champagne Gold and Gunmetal Grey.
