After K3 Note which proved to be a massive hit last year, Lenovo launched its successor Lenovo Vibe K4 Note on 5th Jan 2016. In the new version, they have introduced new features generally found in high-priced premium handsets and also updated the hardware specifications. There is no increase in the price even after inclusion of features. As per records, it sold over 1.2 million unitsof K3 Note in just six months after the launch. Some of the notable features of the new phone are: –
- TheaterMax: – As per the company, this feature enables the phone to convert regular content into its immersive VR counterpart.The phone is powered by Lenovo VR (Virtual Reality) technology which gives its users a virtually large screen cinematic experience.
- Front-facing stereo speakers: – The phone has two front-facing speakers which offer a better and louder sound output. Such a stereo speaker is common in high-end handsets like Google Nexus 6 and in HTC’s high-end handsets with BoomSound speakers.
- 3GB of RAM: –The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note has more memory as compared to K3 Note. K3 Note had 2GB RAM while K4 Note has 3GB RAM. This gives the device ability to handle resource intensive apps and games in an efficient way. K4 Note is powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 SoC processor.
- Fingerprint scanner: – Lenovo Vibe K4 Note also features a fingerprint scanner. It is placed just below the camera module at the back. You can unlock the smartphone using the fingerprint scanner. It also facilitates purchases on the phone.
- NFC: –The phone also sports NFC (Near Field Communication) sensors. This feature allows nearby devices to interact with each other. But the distance between them should not be more than 10cm. This feature helps in file transfer, playing multiplayer games, sharing contact information, etc.
