Today Lenovo has launched the Yoga 900 and the Yoga Tab 3 Pro Convertible Laptop in India. The Yoga 900 convertible is a laptop with a watch band hinge, something similar to what we saw in the recent iteration of Microsoft Surface Book, with the fulcrum hinge. It runs on Windows 10. As the name suggests the device is a convertible, so it can be used in various modes, like the tablet mode, the tent mode or like a conventional laptop. The device comes with a 13.3-inch QHD touch panel. The display feels vibrant and offers good viewing angles. The device weighs 1.29 kg, thus making it quite portable. Also it is 14.9mm thin. The internal part of the laptop has a rubberized material at the wrist rest and the borders near the keyboard.
This feels good not only when typing but also while being used in the tablet mode with the keyboard being at the back. On the top you get a metallic finish which looks premium. You get two USB 3.0 ports, an SD card slot and a combo headset jack for connectivity. The device comes with various processor and RAM variants, right up to 6th generation core i7 and 16GB of RAM. One can also get a 512GB SSD as an option. For audio you have stereo speakers by JBL with Dolby Atmos. The top variant of the Yoga 900 is priced at INR 1,22,090 (exclusive of taxes)
Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro is a 10-inch Android tablet running on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The display is a QHD IPS panel. The unique feature of this tablet is that under the rounded hinge, you have a projector which can display up to 70-inch projection. The projection is at 720p HD resolution. For audio you have 4 front-facing JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos. It has a 10200mAh battery, which as per company claims, can run up to 18 hours on a single charge, however with the projector mode, it can last up to 90 minutes. Powering the device is an Intel Atom X5-Z8500 Quad core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The tablet runs on a near stock android, and not the Vibe UI, as seen in earlier Lenovo devices.
For the optics, you have a 13MP sensor at the rear and a 5MP sensor at front for taking video calls and selfies. The device is 4G ready and also comes with an internal memory of 32GB which is expandable via a micro SD card slot. At the back you have a rubber back, which offers good grip and feel to the device. The device is also splash resistant. The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro will be available for INR 39,990.
