LG V20 Smartphone Launched in India, Priced INR 54,999 : Specs, Images, Details

LG has launched its flagship V20 smartphone in India, and priced it at INR 54,999. The phone will be available at Amazon India which will the exclusive online retail partner for the brand. The phone will also be available at physical stores a day later.

The LG V20 gets a large sized, 5.7 inch QHD (1440 x 2560 pixels) IPS screen that LG likes calling Quantum Display. There is also a secondary display on the phone, like its predecessor, the V10. Processing power is delivered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC along with 4GB of RAM. For India, the phone gets 64GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable via microSD card to 2TB.

The LG V20 gets a dual camera setup at the rear. The primary shooter at the rear is a 16-megapixel unit with f/1.8 aperture, complemented by an 8-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera unit is a 5-megapixel unit with an ultra wide 120-degree view and f/1.9 aperture for better low light images.

Battery power is rated at 3200mAh (removable battery) which is decent, but not the biggest for a smartphone this size. The dimensions of the phone stand at 159.70 x 78.10 x 7.60 mm, and it weighs 174 grams. The phone comes equipped with accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, proximity sensor, and gyroscope. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, Infrared, and USB OTG.

Another highlight of the LG V20 package is that it comes bundled with a B&O PLAY headset worth Rs. 18,000. LG is also offering a great exchange offer for the phone. Customers can exchange their old smartphone for a minimum assured Rs. 20,000 off the new LG V20.

The LG V20 also comes with a free, premium quality SF coated back cover. The LG V20 was the first smartphone ever to get the Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box when it was launched in September. As goes without saying, that’s the OS the LG V20 launched in India also gets.

LG claims that the LG V20 is one of the most rugged phones built with with  AL6013 metal with a very high rating for shock absorption. The company also claims that the phone can easily endure a drop from four feet.

LG’s V20 comes with USB Type-C and is compatible with Quick Charge 3.0. The phone also gets a fingerprint scanner on the back.

The V20 is high on audio, and gets a 32-bit Hi-Fi “Quad DAC” configuration delivering superior sound in conjunction with compatible headphones. The phone also gets Studio Mode in the HD Audio Recorder which allows users to record their voice over a musical background. The V20 also supports Google’s In Apps feature allowing users to find contacts, text messages, photos etc from within the apps that are installed on the phone.
