LG V20 to be launched in India on 5 December; features Android 7.0 Nougat, 4GB RAM, and Dual camera

The latest smartphone from the LG stable is going to be launched in India tomorrow (5 December 2016). Reportedly, the LG V20 has already reached retailers and dealerships around the country. The smartphone is expected to retail for a price a little over INR 50,000. The phone has been officially teased on LG’s India website. The LG V10 has earned its share of success for the brand and now with the new V20, LG wants to take the success story forward.

With a Best-in-Class performance claimed by the company, the LG V20 also happens to be the world’s first smartphone to come preloaded with Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It will also be the first to get the recently introduced Google In Apps phone search function.

The LG V20 is crafted out of combination of lightweight aluminium and a new silicon-based material. On the front is a 5.7 inch QuadHD (2K) IPS Quantum Display with 513 ppi pixel density. The V20 gets a secondary display just like the one we have seen on the V10, but this one is improved for better usability.

On the inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. The phone gets 4GB LPDDR4 of RAM and 64GB of UFS ROM that can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card. The camera setup comprises of dual camera setup that makes use of a 16MP and an 8MP module. Both the cameras are fitted with a 75-degree lens and 135-degree lens respectively. The front facing camera is a 5MP unit with a 120-degree lens.
