Music lifts your spirits, they say. But what if the source of music itself lifted itself up in the air to levitate and add some visual delight to the aural pleasures it delivers? LG, the Korean electronics giant is all geared to bring such a blend of aural and visual delights at the upcoming CES 2017. The company is showcasing its futuristic Levitating Portable Speaker (model PJ9) at the world’s leading electronics show.
The new wireless speakers are designed to hover in place over the accompanying Levitation Station while delivering quality audio. While looking good, the speakers also have the ability to seamlessly play music, podcasts and other audio content in the home as well as outdoors.
The PJ9 comprises powerful electromagnets housed inside the Levitation Station to lift itself up from its docking station. At the core is a 360-degree omnidirectional speaker with turbine blade-inspired design and deep bass courtesy of the subwoofer embedded inside the Levitation Station. The PJ9 also features Dual Passive Radiator technology to reproduce flush mid-range tones and crisp highs.
The speaker system has a battery life of 10-hours. When the power starts running low, the smart portable speaker automatically descends to the Levitation Station and begins to charge wirelessly without any interruption in the music.
The PJ9 also supports an active lifestyle with its IPX7 certification and can withstand adverse weather condition when being used outdoors. Multipoint technology enables the speaker to connect to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.
Brian Kwon, president and CEO of LG’s Home Entertainment Company, talking about the new speaker system said, “We are absolutely dedicated to exploring new concepts and to pioneering innovative designs for its advanced audio products for consumers around the world, and the PJ9 is the latest example of this commitment.”
