The all new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been launched in India. Interestingly, in order to get the sequence in sync with Galaxy S series, Samsung skipped the Note 6 and floored the Note 7. This smart phablet demands a price of INR 59,990 and the pre-registrations have already commenced. If pre-booked right away, the company will toss in a Virtual Reality Gear in the offer free of cost. The Note 7 will be up for sale from 2 September.

At the launch event, the Samsung folks discussed and emphasized about the 7 key innovations that are packed into the Galaxy Note 7 and they are as follows-
- The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 gets an all new design with dual edges that is inspired from the Galaxy S7. The Screen uses a Gorilla Glass 5 protection and the phablet is IP68 certified that makes it water resistant. The Note 7 can survive in 5ft water for 30mins.
- Reworked Intelligent S-pen- The S-pen gets a new translate feature that can be activated by hovering the S-pen over a text in another language get the translation done. It supports 87 languages including 11 Indian languages. Also, for better precision, the tip of the S-Pen is reduced from 1.6mm to 0.7mm
- Iris Scanner- This is an innovation that straight out of a Hollywood movie. So to secure your files and apps a folder can be created in the Note7 that can be accessed only after an Iris scan. As stated by company, Samsung’s defense-grade Knox system will make sure that the data stays private.
- Entertainment features- Dubbed as the entertainment powerhouse, the Galaxy Note 7 will be powered by a Exynos 8890 SoC that employs a Quad-core 2.3 GHz Mongoose and Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A53.
- Camera- The shooter config comprises of a Dual 12MP (f 1.7) at the rear and a 5MP (f 1.7) in the front
- Performance and Storage- An internal storage of 64GB is provided that can be expanded to upto 256GB through a dedication MicroSD slot. The performance will be assisted by a Mali-T880 MP12 GPU unit and 4GB of RAM.
- Galaxy of possibility- The Note 7 will be a part of the Galaxy Ecosystem that includes the Gear VR, Gear Fit2(smart wearable) and the latest Icon X.

Speaking of the Galaxy Gear Fit 2 and the Icon X, both the Samsung products are up for grabs for a price of INR 13,990 and INR 13,490 respectively.
