The newly launched Galaxy J5 and J7 (2016) support 4G (LTE Cat. 4). These smart phones run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and were first introduced in China. The 2016 editions of the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 was launched first time in the country on Monday by Samsung India. Over the week end media invites were sent out by the company with a tag line saying get ready to witness the next.
Earlier this year the Galaxy J5 (2016) and the Galaxy J7 (2016) were introduced in China by Samsung. In South Korea last week these smart phones were on sale. The cost of Samsung J5 (2016) was INR 17,000 and Samsung J7 (2016) was INR 21,000. In India too the cost of these smart phones will be more or less the same. Metal frame is the special feature of these J5 and J7 Samsung galaxy smart phones. These J series smart phones are the new generation phones which were launched in July last year.
These smart phones run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. They have 4G (LTE Cat. 4) support. These phones have a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture. Besides these the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) include a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) Super Amoled display and has 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB storage. Also extra storage support via microSD card (up to 128 GB) is available. The Galaxy J5 (2016) is backed by a 3100 mAh battery measuring 145.8 x 72.3 x 8.1 mm and weighing 158 grams. Galaxy J7 (2016) smart phone features a 5.5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) Super Amoled display. It is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.6 GHz. It also has 2 GB RAM and packs 16 GB of storage. This too is expandable via microSD card (up to 128 GB) and is backed by a 3300 mAh battery. It measures 151.7 x 76 x 7.8 mm and 169 grams.
