Micromax is an Indian consumer electronics company. It has its headquarters in Gurgaon, Haryana. It is one of the largest handset making company, producing low-cost feature phones in India. It is the 10th largest smartphone vendor in the world. Micromax launched its next smartphone – Micromax Canvas Fantabulet. The Phone will be launched on 13th January 2016 and the price is decided to be around INR 7,499 which is equivalent to US $ 120.
The phone will be available for sale on Flipkart, an e-commerce website in Chrome Gold colour variant. Micromax with this launch plans to disrupt India’s popular phablet market. As per the company Micromax Canvas Fantabulet is one of the biggest smartphone ever. The phone has a 6.98-inch high-definition IPS screen. The phone is a combination of best-in-class technology features and ergonomic and stylish form factor which offers a rich multimedia experience. It also acts as an efficient work tool.
As per Vikas Jain, the co-founder of Micromax Informatics, with the launch of Canvas range of devices, the company ignited the phablet category. It also became very popular among the consumers. The company expects a change in the way people use smartphones as they are again pioneering a new category. They want to make the smartphone their first choice for productivity needs and for consumption. The phone has a large 16M colours display having a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The phone also features dual box speakers of a thickness of 2.5 mm. The speaker is deeply integrated with DTS sound technology which makes it an entertainment powerhouse so that it can provide a long lasting audio-visual experience.
The phone packs a 3,000 mAh battery. It runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) OS. The phone sports an 8-megapixel camera at the back and a 2-megapixel selfie shooter. It has 8GB internal memory which is expandable to 32 GB using a memory card.
