Microsoft’s Lumia 950 and 950 XL will scan your face and have pen support. Here are the full specifications

Microsoft hasn’t given up on smartphones yet, and will be releasing two new flagships for its Lumia 950 phones, the Cityman and Talkman. Both phones will come with Windows 10 and will come with iris scanners to let users log-in to the phones as part of Microsoft’s incoming Windows Hello authentication.

The larger of the two, the 5.7 inch WQHD-screened Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, will also be the first to offer support for the Surface Pen and smart cover while the Lumia 850, tipped to feature a smaller 5.2in QHD display, will make do without these accessories. Screen resolution at 2560×1440 is the same on both models.

Both smartphones will come with 20MP rear cameras, with the 950 XL adding a triple LED flash for low-light situations. The CPUs remain as before, a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 and Snapdragon 810, respectively. In almost all other aspects, the two are largely the same, like the 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, the 20 megapixel PureView rear camera, and 5 megapixel front shooter. Both will also use the new USB Type-C connector, first seen on the new Apple MacBook.
