We have the all new Moto range coming to India soon. The Moto M is all set to reach the Indian market and it will be sitting in the premium side of the mid-range. The fully metal clad Moto M is expected to be priced around INR 20k. While India is waiting for the M, Lenovo owned Moto is prepping up the next big thing of their G line-up. Well, to lead the G-force is not just one but two variants of the Moto G5.
Moto M series to come to India soon; Features a metal unibody, MediaTek P15 Helio SoC, and 4GB RAM
Nowadays it is not difficult to guess the name and characteristics of the second variant and Moto did the same with the G4 smartphone. The standard version is the Moto G5 and joining the Plus bandwagon, no prices for guessing, it is the Moto G5 Plus. Reportedly, the duo is going to be officially unveiled on 8 March 2017 but to know what the package is all about you won’t have to wait that long. Official info of the phones has leaked on the internet along with a couple of images. Well, these images don’t look convincing because they seem to be the snapshots of the MotoG4 and Moto G4 Plus’ spec sheet that is up on the official website.
Even the specs of the G5 duo shown in the images are identical to the G4 duo.
Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus
If the images are to be believed both the phones feature almost identical looks and hardware. The commons of the two are:
- 5.5-inch full-HD display
- 16GB internal storage
- Turbo-charging
- Battery size enough to support 24hour usage (conditions apply)
- Octa-core processor
- Black and White Colour options
Coming to the differences, the Moto G5 Plus will get a fingerprint sensor which the G5 misses out on. Also the G5 Plus will be offered with a 32GB internal memory option. Both the G5s will get a 5MP front camera but for the primary camera the G5 Plus will be fitted with a 16MP unit whereas the G5 will have to make do with a 13MP module.
Since the launch is scheduled to take place in March next year, it is safe to assume that the Moto G5 and G5 Plus will get Android v.7.0 Nougat out of the box. Following the official launch the phone may take a while to reach the Indian shore.
