Motorola is all set to fuse more functionality into their mobile accessories with their all new Moto Mods. The Moto folks say that With Moto Mods, we’ve entered the next era of mobile technology. When you can transform your smartphone into what you need it to be, the possibilities are endless. And the new Moto Mods are trying to do exactly the same. These snap onto the compatible Moto Z phones using integrated magnets.
Initially, Moto introduced a snap on module of a JBL SoundBoost speaker then came the Insta-Share Projector and finally the power packs from Incipio. So these Moto Mods could give you a boost in the music experience or could project your favourite movies on surfaces anywhere and anytime or keep your smartphone from dying with the added extra pack. And now to assist the camera capabilities, Motorola has introduced the latest Mod that takes its job seriously, very seriously. Make way for the Hasselblad True Zoom Moto Mod.
The smartphone brand has collaborated with legendary photography brand Hasselblad to make advanced imaging experiences like 10x optical zoom and shooting RAW available on mobile. We all know what Hasselblad is made and capable of and now with their collaboration with Moto take mobile photography to the next level. It will add advanced imaging capabilities to the Z phones phone in a snap!

This Moto Mod Hasselblad True Zoom is compatible with Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Force Droid and the latest Moto Z Play Droid. It weighs 145g and packs in many features. The camera’s BSI CMOS sensor is a 12 MP unit that can record 1080p Full HD videos at 30fps. It features f3.5-6.5 Aperture and a focal length of 4.5-45 mm (25-250mm 35mm equivalent). The camera is assisted by a Xenon flash. The Mod gets features like OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for still photography and (Electronic Image Stabilization) for videos. It uses the phone’s (it is attached to) storage to store photos and videos. Also, it is dependent on the phone’s battery for power.
TheMoto Mod Hasselblad True Zoom will be available in Europe for about 299EUR (INR 22,461 approx). In the US it will be up for pre-sale on 8 September. Later by 15 September, it will be on sale for USD 249 (INR 16,589 approx) at Verizon and USD 299 (INR 20,000) on the company’s official website.
