The new Moto G Turbo was unveiled today in Mexico. This model is simply a bumped up version of the recently launched Moto G third generation. Every feature in the budget smart phone is pretty much enhanced to make it more attractive to the prospective buyers. The most notable among the enhancements is the display. The third generation Moto G came with a five inch sporting a 720 X 1280 resolution, whereas the new Turbo features a 1080 X 1920 resolution on a five inch screen but protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
In the insides too there are some notable changes. The third generation Snapdragon 410 has replaced with Snapdragon 615 chipset. This one is an octa-core processor with Adreno 405 GPU. This enables buyers to load more without compromising on the processing speed of the phone. Multi tasking also becomes easier which is a boon in today’s fast paced world where we need everything ready on our fingertips. The phone comes with a 2GB RAM and 16GB worth of expandable storage.
The 2470 mAh battery has been enhanced to support Motorola’s Turbo charging. This enables the phone to be charged fairly quickly. The phone ranks higher to the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Maxx 2 in terms of resistance to water and dust as this one comes with an IP certification of X7, which is the same as the third generation Moto G. The X7 rating means that this phone can withstand being submerged in water up to a depth of 1 meter, for as long as thirty minutes.
The rest of the features remain the same as the ones offered on Moto G3. The rear camera comes with the same 13MP while the front facing camera sports a good 5MP, which is great for selfies. The 4G LTE capability and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity remain the same like Moto G third generation. The phone is currently being offered only in Mexico but as with other Motorola devices, is expected to be available around the world with time.
