Motorola recently tweeted that its Moto G3 phone will be upgraded to Android’s latest version 6.0 – Marshmallow, in India. No specific date was mentioned in the tweet, hence as per assumption, the update will be rolled out gradually in India and mostly arrive at the users’ phones in couple of weeks. A notification will be received by users as and when the update becomes available for download. This comes as a good news for all Moto G3 users.
Moto fans were very impressed with the smart phone launched by Motorola in July last year, in India. The phone had improvised specifications and features with an in-budget pricing. The 8 GB variant of Moto G (3rd Generation) went up on sale at INR 11,999 while the 16GB variant was available at INR 12,999 on the e-commerce portal Flipkart. Users are eagerly waiting for Android’s Marshmallow update which arrived in August 2015 on many top selling smart phones that were launched in the first half of 2015.The latest version of Android is loaded with new features. The ‘Google Now on Tap’ feature using which you can access your apps and other information is the star attraction. The new version also features a ‘Doze’ mode that puts your phone in sleep mode and stops draining of battery due to use of apps which are not in frequent use by putting on the ‘App Standby’ mode.
The new version also lets users to define when and what they want to share by adjusting the permission of individual app. It provides full support to fingerprint recognition feature that is used for unlocking your phone. The phone sports an improved application performance as it has a lower memory overhead which makes multi-tasking faster and BLE scanning more efficient. It offers Flex storage that secures the usage of SD cards or external storage devices. It also features auto back up for apps and much more.
