A new mid-range phone has been launched ahead of one the most eagerly awaited event of the year. The LG X Power2 with its 4500 mAh battery will be introduced first in the Latin American markets by mid-march, followed by the United States, Asia, Europe and other regions. Running Android 7.0 Nougat, out-of-the-box, the phone’s pricing hasn’t been announced yet. The device will be made available in Black Titan, Shiny Titan, Shiny Gold, and Shiny Blue colour variants.
Weighing 164 gms, the LG X Power2 features a 5.5-inch, HD, In-cell Touch Display. It is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor which is backed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage, expandable till 2GB via a microSD card. The phone’s optics include a 13-megapixel rear lens with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front camera with soft-light LED flash. Its 4500 mAh battery supports fast charging and claims to refill half of its belly in one hour of charging. It can last through an entire weekend on a full charge and promises 15 hours of continuous video playback, 14 hours of navigation, or 18 hours of web surfing. Connectivity features on the X Power2 include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0, USB OTG, and a gyroscope sensor.
In India, LG India has recently launched its new 2017 K10 device. Dubbed as the ‘Dhaakad’ smartphone, the LG K10 comes with safety & design features and a special‘panic button’ as per the Government of India guidelines. The 2017 LG K10 gets a 5.3-inch HD In-cell Touch Display, a 13MP main camera and a 5MP front camera with 120-degree wide angle selfie lens. Other features include a fingerprint scanner, OTG Support, a metallic U-frame for a 7.9mm profile with 2.5D Arc Glass design and Android OS 7.0 with 4GVoLTE.
