The new iPad Pro had claimed that it will replace Laptops. The gadget has included amazing features but has failed to stick to its claim and couldn’t replace laptops. The tablet has a very big screen which makes the viewing experience really good. Even two people can watch videos together comfortably because of the big screen. But it might be a problem holding it in the hand for longer period. The device weighs around 723 grams and has a thickness of 6.9 mm, which is thinner than the new iPhone 6s Plus.
The device is powered by Apple’s most powerful processor, A9X processor and has an amazing 64-bit desktop class architecture. It handles all the iOS application with great ease whether it be Office 365 apps or Autodesk’s AutoCAD professional application. The device has a high resolution display, adding to the clarity of the picture. The refresh rate is higher when you are watching dynamic content and is lower when watching static content which in turn increases the battery life.
The screen has not been utilized well with only few icons on the screen resulting in too much scrolling to get an app. The sound produced by the device is also very good. It has four speakers placed at all the four corners which dynamically changes the bass notes. The device also features split screens that enables user to multitask.
The experience of using the device is enhanced by the use of two accessories- Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil. The keyboard has a woven fabric coating on the top which gives a good feel when you touch it.The durability of the Keyboard is a little doubtful in Indian conditions. The gadget offers 8-10 hours’ battery life in normal usage. It has an 8 MP back camera, 1.2MP front camera and 1080p video recording capability. The tablet lacks 3D touch feature. All these features are really great when compared to a tablet, however, are no comparison to a laptop. At the most, the new iPad Pro can qualify somewhere in between the two.
