New 2017 Samsung Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 unveiled; Entire range gets IP68 rating

The 2017 range of Samsung Galaxy A-series phones has officially been announced. Interestingly, the entire line-up gets an IP68 rating, which makes them dust proof and water resistant till a depth of 1.5 meters for a duration of 30 minutes. The phones have reversible USB Type-C ports, come with Always on Displays (designed to save battery life by showing notifications without waking up the entire device), and microSD support up to 256GB. 2017 Samsung Galaxy A3

Measuring 135.4 x 66.2 x 7.9 mm, the Samsung Galaxy A3 has the smallest 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED display among the lot. Running Android 6.0 out of the box, it is powered by a 1.6 GHz Octa Core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The rear camera is a 13MP lens with f/1.9 aperture. The front camera is 8MP with a similar aperture size. It is backed by a 2,350 mAh battery, supports dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v 4.2, ANT+, USB Type-C and NFC. The smartphone runs Android 6.0 and is powered by a 1.9GHz Octa Core processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The camera is a 16MP rear and 16MP front. It packs a 3,000 mAh battery, supports Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v 4.2, ANT+, USB Type-C, and NFC. The A7 is powered by a 1.9GHz octa-core processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The rear lens is a 16MP unit with f/1.9 aperture whereas the front lens packs as many pixels with f/1.9 aperture. The Galaxy A7 is backed by a 3,600 mAh battery and supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v 4.2, ANT+, USB Type-C,and NFC (UICC, eSE).
