The all-new 2017 Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7 have been officially launched in India. Both devices will sit in the premium mid-range category and have been priced at Rs. 28,990 and Rs. 33,490 respectively. While bookings through online and offline channels will start today, the phone will be officially available starting March 15th. Both the devices will be available in Black Sky and Gold Sand colour options.
The 2017 Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7 sport a metal and glass body and come with an IP68 certification, which makes them dust proof and water resistant till a depth of 1.5 meters for a duration of 30 minutes. Both devices get a USB Type-C port and an Always-On display.
Measuring 146.1 x 71.4 x 7.9 mm, the Samsung Galaxy A5 comes with an FHD Super AMOLED 5.2-inch screen. The smartphone runs Android 6.0 and is powered by a 1.9GHz Octa Core processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The camera is a 16MP rear and 16MP front. It packs a 3,000 mAh battery, supports Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v 4.2, ANT+, USB Type-C, and NFC. Sensors on the Galaxy A5 include Accelerometer, Proximity, Geomagnetic, RGB Light, Hall Fingerprint scanner and a Barometer.
The range topping Samsung Galaxy A7 measures 156.8 x 77.6 x 7.9 mm. It features a 5.7-inch FHD Super AMOLED display and runs Android 6.0 out of the box. The A7 is powered by a 1.9GHz octa-core processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The rear lens is a 16MP unit with f/1.9 aperture whereas the front lens packs as many pixels with f/1.9 aperture. The Galaxy A7 is backed by a 3,600 mAh battery and supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v 4.2, ANT+, USB Type-C,and NFC (UICC, eSE). Sensors on the device include Accelerometer, Proximity, Geomagnetic, RGB Light, Hall, Fingerprint scanner and a Barometer.
