Nokia is taking pre-orders for its upcoming N1 tablet. It features a 7.9-inch slate with 2048×1536 resolution protected by Gorilla Glass 3, and powered by the 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor (PowerVR G6430 GPU clocked at 533MHz), clocked at 2.3 GHz. Additional specs include 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, eight- and five-megapixel camera duo for front and back, aluminum body (6.9mm thick), and a huge 5,300mAh battery.
According to the press release, ““Nokia is licensing the industrial design, Z Launcher software layer and IP on a running royalty basis to the OEM partner. The OEM partner is responsible for full business execution, from engineering and sales to customer care, including liabilities and warranty costs, inbound IP and software licensing and contractual agreements with 3rd parties.”
Prices for the N1 start at $250. Shipments will follow in three weeks, going out to customers on January 28.
