Nvidia Inception Program introduced to support Artificial Intelligence Innovation in India

With an aim to acknowledge India’s potential for artificial intelligence innovation, Nvidia has launched their Inception program in the country. The launch took place at the inaugural Nvidia Emerging Companies Summit India, an event which brings together the brightest minds and greatest ideas in GPU computing. The summit is a part of the GPU Technology Conference (GTCx). As per the folks at Nvidia, Inception is a virtual incubator program to support startups with revolutionary ideas in AI.

The Nvidia Emerging Companies Summit India is said to be the only event in India aimed at startups specializing in artificial intelligence. The event brought together 12 visionary startups in AI, virtual reality, autonomous vehicles and robotics with leading tech investors, including Rajan Anandan, Vice President for South East Asia and India at Google. The Inception Program already has close to 100 Indian startups as members.

The Nvidia Inception Program offers direct access to GPU Technology, Deep Learning Expertise, Network Support. On the occasion, Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director – South Asia, Nvidia said that Artificial Intelligence has gone from science fiction to reality thanks to a new computing model: graphics processing unit (GPU)-accelerated deep learning. The company believes that the next generation of breakthroughs in technology and business will be driven by the AI startup community. He further added that young India’s aspirations, ideas and potential are global in scale, and they are excited to amplify the imagination and intelligence of the country’s brightest minds through the Inception Program and the Emerging Companies Summit.
