OnePlus has finally rolled out the new OxygenOS 3.5.5 OTA update for the OnePlus 2. With this new update, the OnePlus 2 now features the much awaited VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) functionality. The VoLTE upgrade was announced by the smartphone maker in the previous quarter. The feature will enable users to make voice calls using Long-Term Evolution (LTE) or 4G enabled networks without using third party apps.

Apart from the VoLTE, the new OTA update will also feature App Lock, Gaming Mode, Additional Options for the Alert Slider and Updated Android Security Patch Level to 1/12/16. Check out the complete list of changes that the new OxygenOS build will offer:
- Enabled VoLTE functionality for select carriers
- Added App Lock
- Added Battery Saving Mode ( Settings > Battery > More )
- Added Gaming Mode ( Settings > Developer Options )
- Added Additional Options for the Alert Slider.
- Redesign of the Volume Adjustment Bar
- Shelf Optimizations
- Updated OxygenOS UI
- Updated Interface and UI of the Clock app
- Updated Android Security Patch Level to 1/12/16

The update will be incremental with a small percentage of users right away, and a broader rollout in the coming days. So keep a check on the System Updates tab in your OnePlus 2. There is no official statement about an update for OnePlus 1 and OnePlus X devices and users will have to continue using third party apps for making VoLTE calls.
