Company co-founder Carl Pei has already confirmed to the media that the OnePlus 3 will be different looking from the OnePlus 2. According to Carl Pei, the upcoming OnePlus 3 will feature a completely new design which is different from its current-generation flagship phones and that it is expected to captivate users just as the company’s first phone, the OnePlus One did when it was first launched in July 2013. As per the leaked images that have surfaced online, the biggest change could be the company ditching its characteristic ‘sandstone finish’ design. It would be quite interesting to see whether the upcoming OnePlus 3 gets the full-metal body or not. Sporting a full metal body is now the trend of most high end smart phones. The upcoming Moto X4 is also expected to come with a full metal body.

The OnePlus 2 and the OnePlus One devices were made of complete plastic with only an outer metal frame. Twitter user, The Malignant who has posted the pictures says that he wasn’t in possession of the retail unit, and therefore he didn’t share the rear image.
