Alright then, the big beast of the performance smartphone field is already getting geared for another assault. Realising that some other smartphones are now available with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC, which is a notch higher than the OnePlus 3’s 820, OnePlus has decided to drop the OnePlus 3T with upgraded hardware. Now, that might not be news to some or most of you. What would be, is that the new phone is arriving earlier than expected. OnePlus, if some reports are to be believed, is planning to launch the 3T on November 15th 2016 in London.

Let’s see what all to expect from this mid-life overhaul the model line is receiving. To start with and as already stated, the processing power will be delivered through the top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC. The camera, if reports are to be believed will be upgraded and will now feature the latest Sony IMX398 sensor, though still with 16 mega pixel resolution. Expect the software around the camera to be tweaked as well.

The jumbo sized 6 GB Ram doesn’t need an upgrade, and so it wouldn’t be changed. 64 and 128 GB storage options will be available. Battery is rumoured to be upgraded to 3300 mAh from the current 3000 mAh. The new phone will also run the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Expect the OnePlus 3T to be made available in a new black colour. As on the current model, the 3T will get a 5.5-inch screen with 1080×1920 pixels display. The design will also remain the same as the current model except for the 3T branding.

All those enhancements would come for a price, though, as the OnePlus 3T is expected to be priced at $480 (or Rs. 32,000, which 4K more than the current model).
