We are just a day away from the global debut of the OnePlus 3T and its time for a final rumour round up of the smartphone. Here are all the things that are confirmed and rumoured to be offered on the phone.
As per a teaser video and the tweet from Qualcomm, the OnePlus 3T will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC that employs a quad-core chip comprising of two 2.35 GHz Kryo & two of 1.6 GHz Kryo units. The Adreno GPU and 6GB of RAM will be retained from the current OnePlus3. While the OnePlus3 is available with just a 64GB storage option, a new 128GB variant of the 3T is expected to be rolled out as well.
Reportedly, the camera setup will be upgraded to the improved Sony IMX398 sensor with 16 mega pixel resolution. The UI and the camera app will be tweak for enhanced performance and experience. To support all of the upgraded hardware OnePlus will also bump up the 3,000 mAh battery to 3,300 mAh. The phone will likely get the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. On the downside, for the new 3T will be fitted with an 5.5inch IPS LCD display instead of the vividly rich AMOLED display that does the duties on the OnePlus3.
The design and construction of the OnePLus 3T will be the same as the current OnePlus 3. The only notable change will be the ‘3T’ branding. The 3T is expected to be priced tad higher than the OnePlus 3. The OnePlus 3 64GB is retailed at a price of INR 27,999 (approx USD 415) and upcoming 3T is expected to be out for around INR 32,000 (approx USD 475). The launch is scheduled to take place on 15 November 2016 at 1pm EST (11.30pm IST).
