A ‘Soft Gold’ variant of the OnePlus 3T will go on sale in India on January 5. In an app-only sale for registered users, the phone will be exclusively available on Amazon India at a price of Rs. 29,999. Interested customers can register on the Amazon app for the sale, which began at 5 Pm yesterday and will continue until January 3rd 2017. Open sale will begin on January 6th, 2017 and will not require any pre-registration.
The catch? Only the 64 GB variant of the OnePlus 3T will go on sale initially, and there is no confirmed news about the availability of the 128 GB version. Design wise, there isn’t much that differentiates the OnePlus 3 and 3T, except the fact that the former is available in a shade of Gunmetal Grey, while the 3T wears Soft Gold.
The OnePlus 3T scores higher in the battery department though and is powered by a 3400 mAh battery. It is 13% bigger than the power source in the OnePlus 3, which gets a 3000 mAh unit. The 3T comes fitted with a Snapdragon 821 processor, as compared to the 820 in the OP3. Another department where the 3T scores brownie points is the front camera unit, which is a 16 MP lens, compared to the 8 MP unit on the OP3.
