OnePlus Buds Pro 3 Design Leaked in Two Color Options; Expected to Offer IP55 Rating and Up to 43 Hours of Battery Life

The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro made their debut at the brand’s Summer Launch Event earlier this month. Now, OnePlus appears to be preparing the launch of its next flagship true wireless earbuds, the Buds Pro 3, following last year’s OnePlus Buds Pro 2. Although the company has not officially confirmed their release, a recent leak has revealed the first look and key specifications of the upcoming earbuds. The OnePlus Buds Pro 3 are rumored to offer up to 43 hours of battery life, an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.

Design and Features

According to a report by Smartprix, the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 will share a similar design language with the Nord Buds 3 Pro, featuring a leather finish on the case’s front, a pairing button on the right side, and a USB Type-C charging port at the bottom. The leaked renders showcase the earbuds in two color options: black and gold, possibly marketed as “midnight opus” and “lunar radiance,” respectively. The earbuds will sport glossy stems, while the in-ear portion and ear tips will have a matte finish, complete with “L” and “R” engravings. Notably, each earbud will bear the inscription “Co-created with Dynaudio.”

Specifications and Performance

The OnePlus Buds Pro 3 are expected to deliver an impressive 43 hours of total battery life when combined with the charging case, an improvement over the 39 hours offered by the Buds Pro 2. A quick 10-minute charge is reportedly sufficient to provide up to five hours of playback time. The earbuds are also anticipated to feature an IP55 rating, making them resistant to dust and water.

For connectivity, the Buds Pro 3 will utilize Bluetooth 5.4. They are rumored to include a dual driver setup, comprising an 11mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter, aimed at providing high-quality audio output. The earbuds may also feature a Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) and support the LHDC 5.0 audio codec, capable of delivering 24-bit/192kHz audio.

Additionally, the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 are expected to offer noise cancellation capabilities of up to 50dB, slightly more than the 49dB provided by the Buds Pro 2. They are also rumored to support Dynaudio EQ and dual device connections. The charging case is expected to measure 6.5 x 5.2 x 2.6 cm and weigh around 61 grams.

Pricing and Availability

The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 were launched in February last year, priced at Rs. 11,999. Based on this, it is speculated that the Buds Pro 3 will be priced around Rs. 12,000 in India. As we await official confirmation, the leaked details suggest that the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 will offer enhanced features and improved performance, making them a compelling choice in the true wireless earbuds market.
