OnePlus Introduces Monthly Software Updates for Eligible Devices

OnePlus has announced the launch of a new software series that will bring monthly updates to its smartphones and tablets in India and other countries. This initiative, revealed on Wednesday, promises to deliver new features, self-developed apps, and security patches to eligible devices alongside the regular periodic updates.

Monthly Software Updates

In a post on its community forum, OnePlus detailed the introduction of versions U120P01 and U120P02, designed to provide monthly updates for its devices. These updates will bypass the standard over-the-air (OTA) process, delivering enhancements and new features directly to users.

The phased rollout of these monthly updates began on August 2. Notifications will be sent to users in the Asia-Pacific region, including India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Singapore. Middle Eastern countries such as the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia will also receive the updates.

Eligible Devices and Software Versions

According to OnePlus, the updates will be compatible with smartphones running the latest OxygenOS 14.0.0 and above, as well as previous versions like OxygenOS 13.1.0 and 13.0.0.
