Known for balancing performance and affordability, the Nord series has traditionally featured practical designs and competitive pricing by cutting down on some aspects like design and cameras. However, the upcoming Nord 4 seems poised to redefine the series with a fresh design overhaul.

A significant leak from @OnePlusClub on X (formerly Twitter) reveals the Nord 4 in various colorways, showcasing a two-tone mint green finish, a two-tone silver finish, and a basic black option. The silver variant features a textured back with large grooves, while the green and black versions sport flat rear surfaces with bevelled corners transitioning to flat sides. This leak also highlights a new camera layout with two horizontally aligned cameras and LED flash modules, maintaining a consistent design across all color options.
The presence of the iconic three-stage alert slider switch, a hallmark of high-end Nord smartphones, is also confirmed in these images.
Material and Build Quality Enhancements
Further leaks and official teasers from OnePlus suggest a shift towards using metal in the Nord 4’s construction. Live images of the device indicate a metal U-shaped unibody chassis integrating the rear panel, a design choice reminiscent of premium smartphones from earlier years. This metal construction is likely to evoke a sense of nostalgia, recalling the era of all-metal smartphones that, despite their reception issues, were synonymous with high-end design.

According to previous reports, the OnePlus Nord 4 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. The device is rumored to feature a 6.74-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a smooth visual experience.
