OnePlus fans, here is a good news for you. OnePlus X, the company’s latest device will be going invite-free very soon. The phone can be bought without any invite in the global market already and as per various reports India will soon catch up. Carl Pei who is the co-founder of the company made an announcement on the OnePlus forum today stating OnePlus 2 phone was invite-free soon after four months of its release. He also stated that the OnePlus X is going invite-free comparatively in much lesser time and this is the trend that they want to continue later too. The company is progressively getting better both in terms of estimating as well as handling the demand for their devices.
Pei not only gave the news that the invite system will be dropped but also announced that the OnePlus Power Bank will now be costing more i.e. around US $19 which is approximately equal to INR 1,290 due to increased manufacturing costs. Earlier the cost was only US $14.99, equivalent to INR 1,020. The price is expected to kick up from early next month and hence this is the best time for you to buy power bank if you need it. The prices of OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X flip cases and covers have come down by 20 percent.
OnePlus X has a 5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The display is made up of Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is powered by a 2.3GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 along with Adreno 330 GPU. The phone has 3GB RAM with an inbuilt memory of 16GB which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD. The phone sports a13MP/8MP rear and front camera combination. It packs a 2525mAh battery. The phone also provides dual SIM and 4G support. The phone costs INR 16,999 for the Onyx or Champagne version while the Ceramic version costs INR 22,999.
