Oppo, the Chinese tech firm, well known for its smart phones with unique rotating cameras and photo-stitching technology is all set to launch its new F-Series of smart phones across the globe this January. According to the company, the new F series smart phones will have photography as its central focus. Having said that, the existing smart phones that rely upon their cameras as their USP, will face staunch competition from Oppo, once the new f – series smart phones hit the market.
Sky Li, Vice President and Managing Director of International Mobile Business announced we are very excited to introduce the F series, which will allow an even wider range of users from all around the world to experience Oppo’s outstanding photography technology. No other information about the specifications was shared by the company for the upcoming smart phone. We can expect to see the company making some announcements and bringing in clarity during the CES 2016 trade show. However, Li also added that the new offering from Oppo will include some impressive specs at amazing prices. The company is expected to follow its exquisite design tradition seen in the previous models.
The internet is ripe with rumors that the upcoming Oppo F1 smart phone, the first from the f – series will be the global version of the Oppo A53 that was launched in China last month. The Oppo A53 features a 13-megapixel rear camera with CMOS sensor and LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Since this camera specification is available on most of the handsets these days, it is quite difficult to say how this makes the upcoming model a camera-focused smart phone without observing the actual image quality.
The phone is also expected to come with a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280pixels) resolution display, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, and 3075 mAh battery. The dual-SIM supporting smart phone is expected to run on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
