Panasonic has come out with a new Eluga series of smart phones. Eluga Arc, the first in the series is now available for grabs and is priced at INR 12, 490. The USP of this device is that it supports both 4G LTE as well as Voice Over LTE (VoLTE). This feature means that the phone can allow voice calls via mobile data on supporting networks. Another highlight of the device is its inbuilt IR sensor, which can control IR based smart home electronic appliances, such as televisions, etc. The phone is being targeted at on-the-go professionals as the device is loaded with Android for Work support.

Specifications: The new Eluga Arc features a 4.7 inch display which supports a resolution of 720 X 1280 pixels. In the insides, the phone comes packed with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. This processor has been coupled with a 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded to 32 GB using MicroSD cards. On the camera front, the device features an 8 MP rear shooter with LED flash and a 5 MP front facing unit.
Other features of the device include dual SIM support and an 1800 mAh battery with Quick Charge 1.0 support. Both the SIM slots support Indian 4G LTE bands, however, only one SIM can use the said band at any given time. The other connectivity options include the usual G HSPA+, Wi-FI 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and other standard connectivity options. The phone comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop and is currently only available with a black color option. A finger print scanner is also included at the rear side positioned just below the LED flash.
