On Thursday, Panasonic India launched a new fully rugged, 2 in 1 light weight Toughbook CF-20 that can be detached easily to become a 10.1-inch tablet. In August 2016, the Panasonic Toughbook CF-20, which is backed by a three year limited warranty will be available in India from authorised Panasonic resellers.
It is estimated that the Toughbook CF-20 will be available for INR 2,25,000. This is built with the purpose of challenging environments, that includes field services, utilities, oil and gas, transportation and logistics, healthcare, insurance, public safety and also defence. If we consider its durability, it meets MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461F military specifications, and IP65 water and dust resistance.
Gunjan Sachdev, the National Business Head of Toughbook, Panasonic India, told reporters aimed to meet the evolving needs of enterprises, the CF-20 is bundled with a broad range of configurable options. The ability to detach the tablet from notebook provides flexibility and unparalled reliability and enterprise-grade features.
The CF-20 comes equipped with Windows 10 Pro and is powered by 6th generation 1.1GHz Intel Core m5-6Y57 vPro processor, with speed up to 2.8GHz with Turbo Boost with Intel HD Graphics 515. CF-20 features a 128GB SSD up to 512GB, and 8GB of RAM. It also sports an optional bridge battery that allows hot swap battery replacement for using continuously. Also users have the option of opting for Windows 7 Professional. Besides all these, CF-20 boasts a glove-enabled 10.1 inch full-HD touch screen and purpose-built Vehicle Mount and Desktop Port Replicator, that are equipped to meet all mobile computing needs in extreme situation. It can be connected with the help of USB, SD card reader, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, and optional 4G LTE and GPS.
