Realme 13 Series Set for India Launch on August 29: Here’s What to Expect

Realme has officially announced that its highly anticipated Realme 13 series, designed with budget-conscious consumers in mind, will be launched in India on August 29 at 12 PM. While the company has revealed the chipset that will power the new devices, it has remained discreet about other key features. The upcoming series is expected to include two models: a standard variant and a more advanced plus variant, following the pattern set by its predecessor.

What We Know About the Realme 13 Series

The Realme 13 series is confirmed to feature the MediaTek 7300 Energy processor, the same chipset that powers the Oppo Reno 12 Pro, which was introduced last month. This processor promises a 30% improvement in energy efficiency over the previous generation and reportedly achieves an impressive Antutu benchmark score of over 750,000.

A teaser image released by Realme suggests that both the Realme 13 and Realme 13+ will sport a circular camera module, likely housing a triple-camera setup along with an LED flash. The design appears to be more angular, with a boxy build, and it seems the back panel will be made of plastic—eschewing the vegan leather finish seen on some of Realme’s higher-end models.

Realme 13 Pro Specifications Recap

While details on the Realme 13 and Realme 13+ are still under wraps, Realme recently launched the Realme 13 Pro and Realme 13 Pro+ earlier this month in India. Both models feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 2000 nits. Under the hood, they are powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 5G chipset, complemented by a 9-layer 3D VC cooling system designed to maintain optimal performance during extended use.

The Realme 13 Pro+ stands out with its advanced triple-camera system, which includes a 50MP Sony LYT-701 main sensor, a 50MP Sony LYT-600 3x periscope telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The Realme 13 Pro 5G, in contrast, features a dual-camera setup with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.

As the launch date approaches, more details are expected to emerge, providing a clearer picture of what the Realme 13 series has to offer. Given Realme’s track record, these devices are likely to deliver strong performance and features at a competitive price point, making them attractive options in the crowded budget smartphone market.
