Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi appears to be preparing for the launch of its next budget smartphone, the Redmi 14C 4G. Following the success of the Redmi 13C 4G, which was introduced in India last December, the company is reportedly gearing up to release its successor by the end of this month in global markets. Although Redmi has not yet made an official announcement, a recent leak provides insight into the upcoming device’s launch timeline, color options, and storage configurations.
Redmi 14C 4G: What to Expect
According to a report by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore in collaboration with 91Mobiles, the Redmi 14C 4G is expected to debut in international markets by the end of this month. The leak suggests that the smartphone will be available in two color options—black and blue—and will come in two configurations: 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 4GB RAM with 256GB storage.
The Redmi 14C 4G is rumored to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, a slight variation from the Helio G85 found in its predecessor. The device is expected to run on Xiaomi’s new HyperOS, based on Android 14, offering users the latest software experience in the budget segment.

To provide context, the Redmi 13C 4G was launched in India last December and came in three RAM and storage variants: 4GB + 128GB priced at Rs. 7,999, 6GB + 128GB at Rs. 8,999, and 8GB + 256GB at Rs. 10,499. The device featured a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, and offered up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.
The Redmi 13C 4G also came equipped with a triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a third auxiliary camera. The front-facing camera was an 8-megapixel shooter, catering to selfie enthusiasts. The device was powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
