Immediately after unveiling the Flame 6, Reliance Retail’s Lyf brand has introduced in India their new smart phone the Wind 5. This new smart phone is listed on the company site for INR 6,599. Very soon we expect the black and white color smart phones to be available with the help of offline stores like Reliance Digital and Digital Xpress.
In India the Lyf Wind 5 smart phone support 4G LTE bands FDD-LTE Band 3 1800MHz and TDD-LTE Band 40 2300MHz. This handset supports VoLTE with HD voice call compatibility. It has dual SIM that support Lyf Wind 5 smart phone. It comes with a 5 inch HD having 720×1280 pixels, an IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 294ppi and it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. According to the official listing both SIM slots are 4G enabled, but , at the same time both the SIM slots cannot use 4G simultaneously, meaning when one SIM uses 4G the other SIM will work on 2G.
The Lyf Wind 5 smart phone comes with 1 GHz quad core MediaTek MT6735P SoC along with 1GB of RAM. This smart phone has 8GB of inbuilt storage capacity which can be expanded with the help of a microSD card up to 32GB. The Lyf Wind 5 features an 8-megapixel autofocus primary camera with LED flash coupled with a front facing camera having 5 megapixel. This new smart phone sports auto scene detection, face detection, video snapshot, smile shot, and gesture capture. Besides 4G it can be connected with the help of GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB. It measures 144.6 x 72.8×8.4 mm and weighs 137 grams. It is powered with a 2000mAh battery which is believed to provide up to 6.5 hours of talk time and on 4G network, it can provide up to 140 hours of standby time.
