Rumor Mill: Xiaomi Mi 6 could bear a dual-edge display, 835 SoC and a Rs. 25,000 price tag

In a build-up to the MWC 2017, there are various rumors floating around the internet about upcoming smartphones. One of the most exciting and affordable products among those happens to be the Xiaomi Mi 6. If a certain report is to be believed, the phone has entered mass production already and will beat the Samsung Galaxy S8, to become the first commercially available Snapdragon 835 SoC powered device.

It could be offered in two variants – One with an LCD display and the other with a dual-edge, OLED screen, likely to be called as the Mi 6 Pro. Apart from the screen, another key difference will be on board memory and storage options. Where the lesser model will feature 4GB RAM and 128 GB on-board storage, the Pro version will boast of 6GB RAM and 256 GB of storage. Another rumor surrounding the phone is that it will feature a dual-lens rear camera, although not much information about its specifications has risen in the air.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 is also expected to come fitted with an Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor which first featured on the Mi 5S. To be wrapped in an all-metal body, the Mi 6 could pack a 4000 mAh battery with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0. According to the leak, the Mi 6 LCD variant could be priced at CNY 1,999 (Approx Rs. 19,500), while the Mi 6 Pro could be priced at CNY 2,499 (Approx Rs. 24,700).
