Samsung Electronics has introduced a new member in the (upper) mid-range segment through their Galaxy A series. The latest Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro has been launched for a price tag of INR 32,490 and comes loaded with a decent set of hardware. It will be in stores starting 26 September 2016 and will be available in 3 colours – Gold, Black, and White.

Similar to the other members of the series, the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro will feature a slim 7.9mm body crafted out of glass & metal. It gets a 6” fullHD super AMOLED display that is protected by Gorilla Glass 4 and surrounded by a narrow bezel of 2.7mm. One neat addition to the A9 Pro is the additional MicroSD card slot (upto 256GB) along with a dual sim tray. The device also features a fingerprint sensor.
The Galaxy A9 Pro has a Snapdragon 64 bit Octa-core processor with A72 1.8 GHz Quad + A53 1.4 GHz Quad config. It is coupled with 4GB of RAM. Coming to the camera, the Galaxy A9 Pro sports a 16MP rear shooter that is equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The front unit is an 8MP camera; both these cameras come with f1.9 aperture. To provide users a quick access to the camera app (in less than a second), the phone gets a quick launch feature.
All of this hardware of the Galaxy A9 Pro is powered by a huge 5,000 mAh battery that is claimed to provide a standby time of upto 22.5 Days, talk time of upto 32.5hours, and a video playback time of upto 26hours. It supports fast-charging as well. Samsung claims that the battery can go from 0 to 100% in 160 mins and 30 minutes can give upto 32% charge.

Speaking about the Galaxy A9 Pro, Manu Sharma, Vice President, Mobiles Business, Samsung India Electronics said that the millennial generation is increasingly consuming content on their smartphones & the 6” sAMOLED display on Galaxy A9 Pro enhances that experience. He further added that with capabilities like multitasking, able processor, 5,000 mAh battery, and an enhanced camera with Optical Image, the Galaxy A9 Pro provides a flagship experience.
