Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 Appears on Bluetooth SIG, May Feature Intel Lunar Lake Chipset

The Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 is expected to make its global debut by the end of this year, according to recent reports. The upcoming laptop, part of Samsung’s Galaxy Book 5 lineup, has been spotted on a certification database, providing early confirmation of its existence ahead of an official announcement. Speculation is also growing that this device could be powered by Intel’s forthcoming Lunar Lake chipset, which promises significant performance improvements.

Early Specifications and Features

According to a report from 91Mobiles, the Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 was recently listed on the Bluetooth SIG certification website, confirming its compatibility with Bluetooth-enabled devices. The database revealed five different variants of the laptop, identified by model numbers NT960QHA, NT960QHZ, NT9610HA, NP960QHA, and NP964QHA. These variants could represent different configurations or models intended for various markets.

Details about the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360’s hardware surfaced earlier this year through a leak on social media. A post by tipster @momomo_us on X (formerly Twitter) cited information from a SiSoftware listing, indicating that the laptop might be equipped with an octa-core Intel Lunar Lake CPU. This processor is expected to feature a base clock speed of 1.6GHz and a peak clock speed of 2.8GHz.

Intel’s Lunar Lake chips, anticipated to launch in the third quarter of 2024, will succeed the current Meteor Lake processors. These new chips are rumored to include next-generation CPU cores, the Intel Xe2 GPU architecture, which boasts over 60 tera operations per second (TOPS), and an enhanced Neural Processing Unit (NPU) supporting over 45 TOPS.

One of the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 models, reportedly numbered NT940XGK, is expected to come with 16GB of RAM, an Intel Arc integrated GPU with 7GB of VRAM, and 1TB of SSD storage, making it a formidable device for both productivity and multimedia tasks.

Anticipated Launch Timeline

Samsung’s previous Galaxy Book 4 series was launched in December 2023. If Samsung follows a similar timeline, the Galaxy Book 5 series, including the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360, could be unveiled in December 2024.

With the combination of Intel’s cutting-edge Lunar Lake chipset and Samsung’s proven design and technology, the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 is shaping up to be a highly anticipated addition to the premium laptop market. As the official launch approaches, more details are expected to emerge, providing a clearer picture of what this device will offer.
