Siri gets sassy if you ask her what zero divided by zero is

The folks at Apple have packed Siri full of character and it sometimes show up in the most unexpected of Easter eggs. There are whole websites devoted to chronicling the replies Siri doles out when you ask it (or is it a ‘him’ or ‘her?’, we aren’t so sure anymore) ludicrous questions like, “Does Siri stand for seriously?” “Do you believe in God?” or the ever popular, “What’s your favorite color?”

The latest Siri snark comes our way not from a techie or Apple blogger but from actor Aaron Paul. Breaking Bad’s Jesse Pinkman asked Apple’s virtual assistant to divide by zero and the result is rather sassy and snarky, as Siri usually is when confronted with such questions.

If you own an iPhone or iPad, pull up Siri and ask, “What is zero divided by zero?” For those readers without access to Siri, here’s her response:[blockquote type=”left”]“Imagine that you have zero cookies and you split them evenly among zero friends. How many cookies does each person get? See? It doesn’t make sense. And Cookie Monster is sad that there are no cookies, and you are sad that you have no friends.”[/blockquote]

Gee, thanks for nothing, Siri. That was rather hard to swallow.

And here are some other priceless Siri nuggets users have unearthed in the past:

You: “Make me a sandwich.”
Siri: “I’m not permitted to prepare food.”

You: “Can I borrow some money?”
Siri: “[Your name], you know everything I have is yours.”

You: “When is the world going to end?”
Siri: “Right after you hear the words ‘fire it up!’”

You: “Who’s your daddy?”
Siri: “I know this must mean something… everybody keeps saying this.”

You: “Open the pod bay door.”
Siri: “Without your space helmet, [your name], you’re going to find this rather… breathtaking.”
