The first smart phone launched by the Indian startup Smartron is the t.phone. This smart phone will be available at INR 22,999 from the beginning of June via Gadgets 360 and the Smartron t.store. The registration for this smart phone has already started. In March the company had introduced in the market the laptop-tablet hybrid, theSmartron t.book. The smartron t.phone has dual sim that is Micro-SIM as well as Nano SIM card which runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super Amoled display with a 401ppi pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. For improved sunlight legibility the company is also touting the Apical Assertive Display technology.
The t.phone comes with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC along with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with an Isocell sensor and a dual-LED flash. The secondary camera is a 4-megapixel that provides 2-micron pixel size for better low-light performance. The new smartron t.phone comes with 64GB inbuilt storage capacity that can be expanded with a microSD card up to 128GB and unlimited t.cloud online storage. The Smartron t.phone sports a dual-tone metal body and is the lightest smartphone weighing only 149 grams. This mobile will be available in four colours that is Classic Grey, Metallic Pink, Steel Blue, and Sunrise Orange. It features a 3000mAh battery having Quick Charge 2.0 support and comes with a USB-Type C charger. In India, it sports the standard connectivity options which also includes 4G LTE support.
