The Galaxy S6 is the most radical Samsung flagship ever

After the underwhelming reception that greeted the Galaxy S5 last year, Samsung is back to the drawing boards for a radical reinvention of its next iteration. And the results are shaping up to be something pretty spectacular, as far as we know for now.

From a CPU that’s 50% faster, to an incredible quad-HD display, Samsung is set to hit every angle with this year’s flagship phone. It will also have a payment feature which works with magnetic and NFC terminals, incredible cameras, and a gorgeous glass and metal body.

Bloomberg reports that Samsung has decided to drop Qualcomm’s next generation 64-bit Snapdragon 810 chipset from the Galaxy S6 due to ongoing problems with overheating. Instead Bloomberg claims Samsung will use its own Exynos chips. Then SamMobile claims the Galaxy S6 is likely to feature an Edge variant with a curved display. All in all, it is shaping up to be a salm dunk, if even half of the following specs are true:

Like the Galaxy S5 all roads point to a launch during Q1 2015 in and around MWC 2015.
