This hilarious Jony Ive parody Twitter account is a must follow for all Apple and design fans

Apple’s notorious design supremo Jony Ive doesn’t have a Twitter or Facebook account. No sir, he simply doesn’t have time for that.

And so, his fans have stepped up to the task, creating fake and/or parody accounts of the man who gave the technology world some of its most iconic designs like the Mac and the iPhone.

One account, though, stands tall above the rest, the aptly-named handle @JonyIveParody with the username “not Jony Ive.” It is also the most popular one we have come across yet, and with good reason too: whoever is running this parody account is not only a fan of the man and his designs for Apple, but also understands the philosophy of the British designer and the beliefs that permeate his design language. And he uses it to hilarious and sometimes scathing effects.

While some of @JonyIveparody’s tweets are NSFW, with a smattering of foul language that we will never hear from the man himself in public, it makes for an interesting account. Sample this reply he sent to Stephen Colbert when the latter tweeted about confirming Tim Cook’s appearance on his new late night show.

The iPad Pro has just launched, but Ive is, of course, already hard at work on its successor, the iPad Pro 2. Here’s what will undoubtedly be its standout (pun very much intended) feature.

Here’s Jony Ive looking back over his past designs in retrospect.

We all know Jony loves his cars. Well, how do you think he pays for them? Now you know.

Remember last year’s massive September event where Tim Cook not only chose the venue Steve Jobs chose for the iconic Bondi Blue iMac but also repeated Job’s equally iconic “One more thing…” line? Well, Ive’s got something to say about it.

Ahh yes, the Apple Pencil. The internet is having a right laugh over it, digging out old videos of Jobs saying why nobody wants a stylus. Well, Morpheus has got something to tell you about that.

The poor iPad Pro just can’t catch a break. It has just seen the light of the day, but people are already comparing it – unfavourably – to the Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Ive sets the matter straight.

Finally, Jony asks the most important question that has been on everyone’s minds ever since that Apple Pencil thing happened.

It’s all in good faith, we revere the design genius that is Jony Ive.
