Up Next: Lenovo P2 with a massive 5100 mAh battery coming to India

Want your power bank to transform into a cellphone? You will soon find a solution in the Lenovo P2. Packing a monstrous 5100 mAh battery behind its metal finished plastic back panel, the phone will be Lenovo’s next new offering for India.

Featuring on-the-go charging, the P2 can share its juice and charge your other phone when it’s about to die. It works with a 24W rapid charger, giving you 10 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes of charging. Finished in a metal frame on the sides, looks wise, it doesn’t walk away too far from the ‘Vibe’ series phones we’ve seen until now and is available in shades of ‘Champagne Gold’ and ‘Graphite Grey’. The Lenovo P2 also features a One-Key power saver, which saves battery life with the flip of a switch.

The Lenovo P2 has a 5.5-inch full HD (1920*1080) Super AMOLED display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz. The phone is available in two variants – one with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage (Expandable till 128GB), the other with 4GB RAM and the same amount of storage. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, the phone sports a 13 MP rear camera (Sony sensor) with flash and PDAF, while at the front you get a 5MP lens. The smartphone gets a fingerprint scanner at the front along with NFC and Dual nano SIM with 4G LTE support. While the Lenovo P1 was launched at a price of Rs. 15,999 when launched, expect its successor to be priced slightly higher when it arrives.
