Will HTC Launch Both the Nexus Smart phones of 2016?

HTC is a Taiwanese multinational company that manufactures smart phones and tablets. Earlier this week, there were many rumours saying that HTC is the manufacturer of both the Nexus smart phones that Google plans to launch this year. The rumours have been corroborated by a developer who has turned into a reliable HTC tipster. He revealed details that appear to be the internal codenames of the handsets. LlabTooFeR who is a ROM developer posted on Twitter that smaller 5-inch rumoured HTC Nexus device will have the codename T50 and the bigger version that has a 5.5-inch display will have the codename T55. No other details are released by the company about both the smart phones.

HTC is not at all a stranger to Nexus devices. It had launched Nexus 9 which was a 9-inch tablet in the year 2014 in collaboration with Google. The first Nexus device which is Nexus One was launched in January 2010 which was when both the companies had partnered to launch the device. The handset used to run on Android 2.2 Froyo.

Google has partnered with many manufactures over the years for making its Nexus smart phones and tablets. For the launch of Nexus S, Google Nexus and Nexus 10, Google had entered into a partnership with Samsung. They partnered with LG to launch Google Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 5X. The company had also entered a partnership with Huawei in the last year for the launch of Nexus 6P. Lastly Google had also worked together with Motorola in order to launch Nexus 6 during the next year.

If we go by the rumours, there are chances that the Nexus smart phone lineup will get back HTC to the spotlight. HTC has been trying hard to sell its smart phones to people as a result making a loss quarter after quarter.
